As an approved supplier on the National Procurement Service (NPS) Furniture Framework, we have been supplying Carmarthenshire County Council since 2014.
We were recently commissioned by the team at the council to refurbish two floors at Ty Elwyn in Llanelli with a high emphasis on sustainability and reusing or remanufacturing their legacy furniture wherever possible.
Our designers worked with the project team to coordinate the use of existing furniture within the new scheme in addition to new sustainable and remanufactured products. The desks and lockers were remanufactured at our production facility in Ystalyfera in the Swansea Valley.
We provided space planning, product specification, finishes guidance and showroom visits to ensure we accurately fulfilled the requirements of the authority. Working closely with other contractors onsite to coordinate the installation was an important element of this project.
Thanks to Carmarthenshire County Council for working with us and for supporting the circular economy. We appreciate your forward-thinking approach to sustainability and waste reduction.
Ministry of Furniture have been our partners on a number of key projects and have helped us face the challenges of adapting to new working arrangements in a post Covid world. They bring a professional attitude and a fresh perspective that we value.” Mark Howard, Agile Project Co-Ordinator, Carmarthenshire County Council.
